Lewis has been an inspiration to me from the very start of our association. Building this website with Lewis has been a blessing to both Patti and I and our lives, like so many around the world, are incredibly richer for knowing him. I look forward to seeing him in heaven.

I met Lewis on the net one day a couple of years back...

He used to send me jokes and I would use them in sermons. He was clearly a man who enjoyed life, loved people and most of all, loved the Lord. Those jokes were a blessing to me - I can imagine that there were lots of ways Lewis touched peoples' lives.

For three years now Lewis has been my prayer partner, confidant, and mentor. Seldom did the day pass that we didn't chat, to laugh, cry, and pray together. It is with a heavy heart that I release him to Jesus. I will miss my dear friend. I learned much from him and the memories, hopes and prayers he has shared with me will last my lifetime. I am blessed to have known him these few years. He has truly enriched my life beyond measure. Much love, Sis Willie

Lewis welcomed us into his heart and home. After meeting in cyberspace we had the privilege of travelling to Sylvester to meet this generous, big hearted, man. His sense of humour and kindness were such a blessing to us. In the few days we spent together we learnt a lot but I'm sure only scratched the surface of a life given to God with so many stories to tell and memories to share.
Thank you Lord for your servant Lewis who gave himself so generously to others.
Our sincere sympathy to dear Jean and all the family.

During my very brief association with Rev. Lewis, (2 years), I have always found him to be a true man of faith. A person who displayed the love of God to everyone. It certainly has been my pleasure to have witnessed the living testimony of this wonderful man of God, as it will be my loss to know I can no longer converse with him face to face. However, the angels in Heaven must be singing a triumphant song knowing that yet another of God's child has come home. He will certainly be missed. In His Grip, Lisa

I will remember Lewis with his great love for God. He was also a real jokester. He would always let us know when the weather was real nice down south, as we were having a snow storm. He loved life, and lived it to its fullest. We shall miss him greatly!!!

As a member of Harold's home church, we are all deeply saddened by his passing. Harold was an inspiration for our church to be mission minded. He was quiet and unassuming, probably many people in our fellowship were unaware of the scope of his influence through technology based mission/ministry. Even last night as a group from our community gathered in prayer for a mission team headed to Mexicao, my two teenage sons who are going, shared with the group how much they knew he loved missions and that as they went to Mexico, in some small way they could carry on his work in that area. Harold loved the Lord, his wife, Jean, and family with everything he had. Our prayers are with them in Harold's homecoming.

We first met Lewis Brooks when he showed up on our doorstep on December 22, 1999 at 9 a.m. We live next door to the church he mentioned in the 10th chapter of his book "Angels
Still Make Housecalls." By the end of our visit we truly felt as if we had been entertained by an angel. Lewis came searching for information to continue and complete his book, but we believe it was a divine appointment by God. When he started to leave, he joined hands with us in prayer.
As we were praying, my husband Dan sensed that the man he was holding hands with was 10 feet tall. After that day we corresponded with Lewis on a regular basis. I am sorry to say that during the last 2 to 3 months we had not been in contact with him because we had received word that he was ill and did not want to intrude on him if he was not feeling well. We did, however, continue to lift him up in our prayers. On July 4, we were thinking of him strongly. We had gone to Albany, GA on a shopping trip and bought his book while there. We stayed very late that night visiting with family and I did not check my e-mail until the next day. That is when I received word from his son Darin. I am sorry that we could not have met Lewis years ago, but again like I said, when we did meet him it was definitely a "divine appointment." Within the next few days afterward we were confronted by Satan himself, and it was only through the conversation and prayer that we had with Lewis that we were able to come away from that situation unscathed by the enemy. We thank God that we had the privilege and blessing of meeting Lewis Brooks and we look forward to seeing him again someday in Heaven. Thank you for letting us convey this message to you and his family.

Lewis called me up one day and said someone recommended me to him to do a bookcover for "Angels Still Make Housecalls". Lewis and I met shortly after and I can still remember how kind and sincere he was. He told me stories that were in the book and I remember how enthused I was to go home and tell my wife about them. We continued to work together and it was always a blessing to be able to talk with Lewis. I always looked up to Lewis and I still look at the way he lived and hope I can live my life as he did.
I had finished the second book cover "Angel Warfare" and would be glad to send it to the family if they wish. I'll miss Lewis but I am thankful for the time I knew him.

Lewis Harold Brooks - my friend - will be missed! Harold and I prayed together frequently and always touched the throne of God's Grace. He often commented how the hair on his arms was standing up as he sensed God's anointing during our prayer. Harold always prayed for his family by name before we were through. The spot that is vacant now can only be filled by God's great Grace. And, God is "faithful to perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel..." Harold was faithful in his trust in God's Word. So, we who loved him should be faithful in the same manner in which our friend so wonderfully demonstrated by his life. I look forward to being with Harold in the presence of Jesus. Thank you, Lord, for this life that You allowed to touch mine!

It is marvelous how you can know a person and never meet him personally. That is my experience with Lewis Brooks. A friend who had been on an Evangelism Partnership Mission to another country with Lewis told me about Lewis and gave me his email address. Over the years Lewis and I exchanged emails. We shared a love for God, the Bible, evangelism and missions. I thrilled at Lewis’ personal testimony as a Christian. He was a blessing to me as he shared email stories, personal experiences and desires. Lewis was particularly interested in three places I have been on Evangelistic Missions, India, Sri Lanka and Hawaii. Lewis had a strong feeling for Hawaii. He longed to serve as an interim pastor at one of the needy churches on Oahu. He had been praying about the possibility of going to Sri Lanka with a group I am putting together.

Lewis has finished his journey through this world and has joined our Heavenly Father at the Celestial Throne. I am quite certain that Lewis observes with heavenly perspective our continued labors here. Lewis waits for others of us that may soon finish our course here and join him in the heavenly chorus in singing praises to the Lamb of God, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. My prayer is that the likes of Lewis Brooks will increase and that others of us will follow his example in following the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.

Dear Friends in Christ,
We too are very saddened by the loss of one of our best friends Harold Brooks. His family have always been close friends as well as close neighbors for the past 11 years.
He was always ready & willing to help anyone that needed him in any way .Both Harold & his wife Jean were willing to go the extra mile to be of service to all. My husband & I will always cheerish the sweet memories of fellowship shared with He & Jean these past few weeks of Harold's life. We will miss Him so much stopping by for a cup of coffee, sharing a few verses of scripture & experiences of life. Then he was always ready to help us with any problems with our computer. ( we had plenty of those). We will never stop missing that sweet & loving person Harold Brooks. We are happy to learn that you are going to continue to carry on
in the work he began on the Net. May God bless all of you who are particaping in this effort for God's Glory.

In Christ
Marguerite & Frank Gillespie

I knew Harold for many several years, and I miss him and his sweet sweet spirit much. Our loss is surely Heaven's gain. Harold was an inspiration to me. He prayed with me and for me on numerous occasions. He could always tell if a person was burdened, and he was always willing to listen. He loved his family dearly and was always so proud of them. He called me one morning and said, "Heart I need some roses, lots of them." I asked him why. I could just see and feel the pride as he told me about his wife, Jean's latest promotion at the bank. That's what I mean when I say he loved his family and their accomplishments. I miss him, but know that I will see him again someday. He loved God and was not ashamed to admit it. My love and prayers to his wife and children.
